Solar Power Inverter
The solar inverter is a critical component in a solar energy system. It performs the conversion of the variable DC output of the Photovoltaic (PV) module(s) into a clean sinusoidal 50- or 60 Hz AC current that is then applied directly to the commercial electrical grid or to a local, off-grid electrical network. Built in communications capability enables users to monitor the inverter and report operating conditions. Depending on the grid infrastructure wired (RS-485, CAN, Power Line Communication, Ethernet) or wireless (Bluetooth, ZigBee/IEEE802.15.4, 6loWPAN) networking options are used.
At the heart of the inverter is a microcontroller. The controller executes precise algorithms needed to invert the DC voltage generated by the solar module into AC. It is programmed to perform the control loops necessary for all the power management functions. The controller also maximizes the power output by properly orienting the PV panel towards the sun.
Solar Home Lighting system
Home lighting System are powered by solar energy using solar cells that convert solar energy (sunlight) directly to electricity. The electricity is stored in batteries and used for the purpose of lighting whenever required. These systems are useful in non-electrified rural areas and as reliable emergency lighting system for important domestic, commercial and industrial applications. The SPV systems have found important application in the dairy industry for lighting milk collection/ chilling centres mostly located in rural areas.
The Solar Home Lighting system is an installation designed for domestic application. The system comprises of Solar PV Module (Solar Cells), charge controller, battery and lighting system (lamps & fans). The solar module is installed in the open on roof/terrace - exposed to sunlight and the charge controller and battery are kept inside a protected place in the house. The solar module requires periodic dusting for effective performance. System is dependable and can be used as emergency lighting systems in houses
